After a couple thousand miles, the Redeemer Mountain TOP Team rolled back into town after another great week "on the mountain." What a journey! Our travels included a stop at "Buc-ee's" in Virginia, a Sunday morning worship with Tennessee Lutherans, various worksites across a large swarth of the Cumberland Plateau, numerable side trips for ice cream, and a week's-worth of worship, community sharing and volleyball at camp. I began my ministry at Redeemer 25 years ago this week. This seems a notable milestone, accentuated by the “fun fact” that my pastorate at Redeemer spans one tenth of our nation's history. In a drawer in the church office, there sits the old parish register, an enormous bound folio in which all official pastoral acts are recorded.
