Morris Museum

The M orris Museum is a hands-on enrichment program offered at the Redeemer Christian School for all Pre-K, KEDS and STARS classes. Artifacts of many different subjects are brought in from the Morris Museum to enhance and create a new “see-for-yourself” learning experience that children can really enjoy.

Children have learned about Community Helpers, explorers like Christopher ColumbusWoodland Native Americans and the First Thanksgiving, as well as Famous Artists and their unique styles.

Noticing the world around us, we observed different Rocks and Minerals, What a Flower is, How Seeds Travel, and we matched Animals to their Habitats.

We experienced what it was like to live in the Artic, the Rainforest, on a Farm and at the Ocean. We also went back in time and visited the Dinosaurs and looked towards the sky at our Solar System and the future of Space Exploration. We learned about the Human Body and how our bodies move, how to identify and explore with our Five Senses, and how we can use both to learn about ourselves and the world around us.

Here are some creative drawings of what their favorite museum subjects were - you can also view this in the , along with many other photos of the school's activites.
